Sketching Open Days
To help celebrate our 60th year of holding a Summer Exhibition, we are inviting the public to come and join us to have a go at sketching.
Come along, dressed in suitable clothing for the weather. Bring any sketching materials you have such as pencils, pens, paper pad.
We shall meet inside the exhibition space then head out into Thornbury to find somewhere to sit, watch the world go by and have a sketch.
We will give you some guidance if you’re new to this fun and challenging hobby. We’ll also have some spare paper and pencils should you not have any.
Usually after our session we visit a nearby café for social time together and to share our work. Of course our visitors are very welcome to join us too.
If you’d like to have a go, just come along to the exhibition at the Methodist Church hall on:-
Saturday 26th July at 10.30am
or
Saturday 2nd August at 10.30am
These events are open and free for members and non-members
Our regular sketching mornings are held on the 2nd Saturday of the month. These are open for members only but if you aren’t currently a member you can join us for a free taster session. These will re-convene on Saturday 13th September
