Catherine will teach us some of her techniques in capturing light and the use of punchy colours and tone to create atmosphere in our painting.

Mark is an experienced practising artist and tutor who works from his studio in North Shropshire, UK.

Using acrylic paint, Mark will explain his application of colour, line and contrast within a landscape composition showing how he builds up layers within a painting.

Members free, non-members very welcome - £6 on the door, includes tea & biscuits. Free parking on-site.

Club Night with Jentien Powell

In this demonstration Jentien will be using collage and inks to create a vibrant backdrop for an acrylic streetscene. No paintbrush required!

David Johnson gave us a lively and engaging demonstration earlier in the year. He is returning to run a workshop where we can learn and practice some of his techniques.

Join us for our third sketching day on 02.11.2024!
From 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, we'll gather outdoors for a relaxed sketching session, followed by tea and coffee at a nearby café. This free event is open to art club members only. Paul Weaver is one of the Club’s favourite tutors. He will give a demonstration ‘Alla Prima Flowers in Water Soluble Oils.’ Alla Prima is a direct method of oil painting, designed to capture a subject in one go.
