Landscape in Acrylics

Mark is an experienced practising artist and tutor. He works from his studio in North Shropshire.

Using acrylics, Mark will explain his application of tone and colour within a landscape composition depicting the Malvern Hills.

He will give a very informative demo in a popular enthusiastic manner.

Mark will show how he builds up layers within a painting. Line and colour are at the heart of his work and this is informed through sketching and further ‘plein air’ work. Drawing is integral to the development of the piece and sometimes forming part of the work itself.

He continues to draw inspiration from the landscape and adores using colour while interpreting the light, contrast, weather and a love of the materials.

As usual we will break midway through for free tea, coffee and biscuits. This will give us an opportunity to catch up with each other and of course say hello to any visitors. There will also be some time to chat to the artist and ask questions.
