September Club Night with Paul Oakley
Paul Oakley is a self taught artist and has a studio in a former cricket pavilion which looks over the hills of the Marlborough Downs and the Pewsey Vale. Paul likes to paint en plein air and is inspired by landscapes he experiences on his travels. He paints in oils in an impressionist style.
This evening Paul will show us the practicalities of creating an Oil painting using a palette knife - a technique which will be new and interesting to many of us. It should be a fascinating evening.
As usual we will break midway through for free tea, coffee and biscuits. This will give us an opportunity to catch up with each other after the Summer break and of course say hello to any visitors. There will also be some time to chat to the artist and ask questions.
