Painting a tiger

This Club Night, you’re invited to watch Jonathan Newey paint a tiger portrait with acrylic paint. Jonathan will guide you through the step-by-step process of creating a striking tiger portrait whilst also sharing his techniques for capturing the majestic animal’s expressive eyes and vibrant fur using acrylic paints. Suitable for all skill levels, the session will cover colour mixing, brushwork, glazing and layering, allowing participants to develop confidence and achieve realistic effects in their own wildlife artwork.

Jonathan Newey is an award winning artist with over 25 years of experience in both drawing and painting. Born in Reading, England, he comes from a long line of artists in his family. He has extensive experience in a wide range of mediums and subject matter, and has taught and lectured for many years.

During the evening, we will break midway for free tea, coffee and biscuits. This will give us an opportunity to catch up with each other and of course say hello to our visitors. There will also be some time to chat to the artist and ask questions.
